Taproot damage to plant

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Adrenalcookie, Jul 1, 2017.

  1. I've had a seedling growing for 2 days now and I picked up it's pot to move it to the windowsill since it was unusually sunny out and under the pot was a snapped off tip of the taproot will it survive?

  2. Breaking a taproot is usually fatal if indeed that's what you did. Good luck and good grows keep.us posted

  3. howd the tap root get under the pot?

  4. It must've grown through the drainage hole

  5. No the root grew out of a drainage hole and snapped
    o he

  6. Aw man guess I'll plant another and keep watch on the injured one

  7. ooooooooo. so it was pretty long then? how big is your pot? im gonna say its fine. the seeds grow more than one root and ive had roots growing out of drainage holes all the time.

a pic would help us tell for sure tho

  8. 4 inches deep 4 inches wide scared me a good bit cause first time growing

  9. Yeah I'll repot it and watch it while planting a replacement just in case

  10. Depending on its size you might want to wait to repot it.
