Looks like I managed to save the acdc and lemon banana. Hazaa! I have one of each with roots, and xferred to bigger cubes. Still crossing fingers for the clemantine. Pull through babies!
So, i killed both males a while back. They weren't doing anything so I let it go... but i had taken clones of both. I looked in on my babys the other day, and the clones i took of the males have both shown their balls even though they're still babies. I might just seed these plants yet. I'm guessing that, since I'm going to take these girls to ten weeks, I still have six weeks to let the boys spurt their love powder, and still get viable seeds. Dont want to seed it all, just select branches. And there's two guys, so that'll be 12 crosses total because why the fuck not. Some of the crosses might suck (although all the genetics are on point so I doubt it) but who cares, free seeds. Ive been growing off and on for decades, but ive done very little breeding, and when I did, I used open pollination. Selective breeding like this is a little more difficult when you're crunched for space. I put the guys in the flower room until I can build a male box to let them finish their love thang. Perverts.
Nice looking girls you got there. How many days in flower are they in? One of my gals is at day 21 of flower. Its the most satisfying stage of growth for me as well. Buds swelling up everyday. I probably open my grow box atleast 10 times a day and appreciate their beauty. Checkout my current grow and the grow before that. 3rd indoor grow, Monster cropped clone journal 2nd led soil grow. End approaching
Thanks brother, I'm at the end of my fourth week of flower. Gonna take em ten weeks because I want the indicas to be extra sedating, and for my last harvest, which was the first time running most of these cuts, I cut the sativas at nine weeks and felt they could have gone another week.
I'm finding that the males are not going to bloom fast enough for this round. This is my first foray into hand pollinating, and collecting pollen. It's been a great learning experience failing like this. I'm going to try to build out a male box on Monday to finish the guys off and save the pollen for the next run. I hope I have luck this round. Also on a side note, my acdc clones died. Thought I had them saved when I saw roots, but they both shat the bed. Think I was keeping things too wet in there and without any transpiration, the plants had no ability to push out roots. Hadn't had that happen before, so something to pay attention to in the future. My guess is that I was too worried about their stress, and ended up overmisting them. Live and learn as I perfect my process.
