Hey all Just an update here, I'd like to share my experience with new growers who might fall victim to the same circumstances I did. If you saw any of my posts about my current grow before, you'll know that it was going really, really badly. After some research about what could improve my growth rates, I looked back at the soil i was using, and it was TOTAL SHIT. I mean, I went to Home Depot's website and read reviews for it, Kellogg's organic blah blah blah, it's essentially mulch with some soil mixed in. People can't even get tomatoes and cucumbers to grow in this soil. That should tell you something if my cannabis plants couldn't even do well. I DO recommend this "soil" as a mulch though, because it has tons of wood in it, and prevents plants from growing. Anyways, I was using that shit with some perlite mixed in, in 5 gallon cloth pots with Fox Farms soil nutes. I changed everything today, and am closely following this great coco guide by Mick, except I'm mainlining instead of scrogging. Mick's Coco - K.I.S.S. - Scrog Method Now I'm using coco coir with ~1/3 the volume of perlite added, and for nutrients I have Silica Blast, SM-90, Cali Magic, and GH Maxibloom powder (5-15-14 formula). I also downgraded to 3 gallon pots, since my plants are indoor and will stay relatively short. When transplanting them, I gently removed the root system from the large pots and rinsed them gently in a bucket full of water to clean all of that crap out of them, then put them into their new homes. EVER. Will update in the future when my plants get along more.
