What is up everyone. I finally decided to start a small journal to keep you up to date on my ramblings and happenings in the tiny corner of my closet. Nothing special, just want to share my medicine . Heres all the happenings in there, I only have 4 cu ft to currently work with, so I have to be a bit crafty on timing here, its all about perpetual motion! I am currently in the process of re-amending all of my soil and adding some more goodies into the mix. There are two 7 gallon geopots down below that I have not been able to do, waiting on this grapefruit cut a family friend gave me, and a Super Skunk to finish up in around 4 weeks or so until I can get around to it. My arsenal includes: Homemade vermicompost "premium" compost Alfalfa Neem (its funny that my web browser doesn't recognize the word neem, sigh) Kelp Crab shell Tomato Tone Basalt Coral Sand Bentonite Bokashi Bran Vermi charged Bio-char I began with the easy organic soil mix for beginners, and here I am today. Diversity rules. Feel free to post up in here anytime you want, photo bomb, whatever you want. Here are my current runs: Grapefruit and Super Skunk: Grapefruit is the bigger one And up top: Super Skunk (wont be keeping after this one goes into flower) Jerry's Kids Now, my area is a very small part of my closet. Think 21 deep, 4ft wide, and 8ft tall. This 8 ft is both my veg and flowering areas. I have 6ft total for flower not including my light, and 2ft total for my veg station. I am cramped! All I have is a 4 bulb 2ft T5 up top, and my 400w CMH down below. Once winter hits we may be looking into throwing my solarflare 200w to supplement a bit during colder months. Like I said, nothing special Onto the madness!
Haha good to see youre here buddy. It took me a while to finally be able to get around to it! Already busy here, the last Jerry's Kid - C was still in a solo and already had roots coming out everywhere after a week and a half in the solo, so I transplanted into a 2 gallon with some VAM.
Yyeahh buddy! Can't wait. They are definitely happy in that soil that's for sure. Hopefully I can get all girls with that run because the super skunk is not what I expected to say the least. It has an extremely fruity smell and I was hoping for the more old school skunk. Another maybe 4 weeks and ill have these in 7s down below. Problem for myself is my veg space can't fit a 7 gallon pot lol!
I hear ya on that. Part of my veg space is my closet shelf. The rest is the top of my tent which I'm definitely not gonna set anything bigger than maybe a 2 on top of.
Haha good to see you guys in here also! Well not much goin on here, taking a bit of a break from work for the next 2 months but somehow I still have zero time to do anything. Non stop in this household! Seems like ive fallen behind on a lot of threads because of it, and then I can never catch up .
Honestly, I'm not sure. I met someone thru my mother that grow their own medicine as well and they had given me two cuts, definitely two phenos of the same one. I took the little runt that was flowering and revegged for a bit before flowering. I asked them where they got it, amd it was from someone that taught them hydro a ways back, so I dont think they are very sure either lol.
Thanks man glad to have ya in! I figured it was about time I throw it up here, I dont have many friends that grow locally except one, and he isnt into organics like I have become. I figured, why not share it with the people that love it as much as me!
Im just in the never ending tedious process of harvesting my castings. Wife makes me keep it out of sight (bugs gross her out let alone worms), so I have it in a closet alongside my amendments. Harvested a good 2 gallons off this tray, ill let it dry out a bit then do 1/4" screen on it once its ready. How do you guys dry your vermi out a little? I am thinking of drilling small holes all over the bucket to get air, cause I have no where to spread it out and dry over a larger area.
