Holy shit I've never seen the like in my life. Even our "Snow Zone" towns like Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear don't get hammered for a snow event like what I saw happen to my store. Like WTF over ??
Was like Locusts or something out of a disaster movie.

<-- Has some no name seedlings coming up I can name a few :)
It'll be an OG as my grow is just a mile from the ocean.
I'm good. The wife keeps a well stocked pantry and larder so we can go for several months if need be. Long as the water, lights, and gas stay on we are good to go.
I wanted some special "Tea" before it was grabbed so we took the last 5 cases.:)
Dairy was hard hit as was Cereal. I grabbed the last 2 boxes of Mini wheats.
<--- Horder... I could have used the 15 item line had it been open. Actually we just bought what we usually do. Most of the people in line had not that many items. Like a usual shopper. A few were shoving way loaded carts. But a shit load of shoppers. Guy behind me had 2 jugs of OJ and some limes. Girl in front of us had her frozen dinner and some lunch fixing for the next few days. Just general stuff. I buy 5 cases of tea cause you save a buck a case when it's on sale. I'll take the 5 bucks off any day.
Doesn't matter if it is real or not. The Panic level is all to real. People are acting like frightened Sheep.

  5. And most of Africa. Viruses hate UV light and Africa has tons of it.

Is it possible this "novel" coronavirus isn't new, scientists just haven't looked for or found it before? Apparently lots of people are testing positive for it but have no symptoms. I'm wondering if it could be one of those viruses where many people are exposed but only a limited percentage get sick or anything more than standard cold/flu symptoms.

Some of the advisory signs are comical imo, they amount to:

    1. Be afraid.
    2. There are no known treatments for the disease.
    3. You will likely recover.
    4. But be afraid anyway.

  6. Some people are doing a little survey of what people will and will NOT horde. Head to the freezer section. The Lean Cuisine and the Vegan hotdogs and Soy burgers were untouched. Even starving people don't want that crap.

In the News the state of Pennsylvania is halting all state run package liquor sales. No whisky for you folks. Limited wine and beer sales at state registered Supermarkets.
You poor bastards have the same shitty booze laws as Wa state has. STUPID !!!!! and now it's about to get real for you.

    Champane Illinois. USA
Mayor says she is stopping Liquor and Guns, Ammo sales.
She doesn't have the authority but she'll sure as hell try and bluff her Bull Shit way through. Expect to see more of this shit enacted over the coming days and weeks.

We've see the food runs. I watched the Ammo, Gun buy panic 2 days ago at big 5 sporting goods. Was quite funny actually. None of the several people in there looking to buy a gun understood the 10 day wait between paying for it and actually touching it / taking it home laws we have here in communist run California.

I had to get my dig in so I said I'll bet nearly everyone of you voted Democrat, Socialist, Communist. in the last 3 or more general elections. Everybody nodded yes. Well you got what you wanted.
More big government. Lots of really shitty gun laws. Remember it the next time you all vote.
< - walked out with 2 big sacks of the ammo they couldn't buy.
    I'm such a bastard. :)

This is a perfect time to send in the National Guard and seize all guns.
    For the Children you understand.
    Sure you do. :-(

I predict a booze and gasoline shortage next.
< -- told the wife to buy way more wine. Did she listen? Nope.
Not my monkey, Not my circus. Sigh !!! she'll be wanting to toke up my hash-kief when the booze gets low. Good thing I brought plenty.

<-- self quarantined at the mountain cabin. No I don't have it and I want to stay that way.

  8. I guess I wish it were zombies. Kind of dig the idea of post apocalyptic world and feel better prepared to fight off zombies. How do you fight off a pandemic? Suree wash your hands and all but if it's coming it's coming. I am 35 so not horribly concerned but what it will do to the economy is a disaster and as a small business owner I am very concerned. Problem is with it not being zombies we will be expected to pick up and get back at it once this is over and that is when it will really get complex.

  10. Although I couldn't predict this incident as the avenue of our societal downfall, I became convinced when Trump was awarded the Presidency that the monkeys were running the zoo.
We all have only our own resourcefulness and sense of community (and common decency, as long as that lasts) to help us through this coming crisis. I plan on visiting the farmer's market tomorrow morning to make connections to those who may soon not be able to market their produce but still are able to provide.

  11. A bunch of the local mountain folk are pissed that our store got stripped last week by what we suspect was flatlanders from the city down the hill. There is talk of barricading the mountain communities from the Zombies below. Only 3 roads in so it would be easy enough to cut the access and limit it to proven residence.
Store instituted a 2 item limit on everything in an attempt to keep the shelves stocked.

How does a tiny Mountain community of less then 7,000 fend off a Zombie horde numbering some 25,000,000 :-(
I'm gonna need more ammo. Much more.

  16. It's all about the Zombies.
Facebook has already got hungry people talking about raiding their neighbors.
Our local market reports they got 1 of the 3 trucks scheduled today.
I didn't think I'd see Civilization unravel in my lifetime but........

I get these Vibes about stuff.
Always have. I'll get off the bench 30 seconds before the steel beam crushes it.
The mountain slide will happen 10 seconds after I drive past it.
The hair will stand up on the back of my head and I'll stop the car and turn around.
Later we learn there was a huge multi car crash in the fog.
It's taken a lifetime to really pay attention to the little voice in the back of my head that says.
    Do this.
    Don't do that.
    It's got a near 100% success rate.

  17. Sometimes I get stoned and play with rolling papers. Was just observing how naturally Zig-Zag 225 and 70mm likes to roll up, even empty. Elements do too. Got other papers, but they're in the other room. Maybe I'll figure out how to roll a decent joint by hand with all this crazy shit.
