Hey guys. First and foremost, I have a very low budget available for this. So I'm looking at doing a 2plant setup, and I have everything ready. Just need the light. So I'm looking at this light, and wanted to see what you guys thought about it, considering I build my own ballast out of wood and mylar... Mogul Socket & Cable for my Light: http://www.4hydroponics.com/clone/mogulCordset.asp - $10.00 and the light: http://www.acetogo.com/product/3237070/bulb+fluorex+100w.html - $15.00 Of course I'll be buying these locally, but those are my plan.. Would this work(I'm not sure if the 120v power cable will power it... ?) I know typically 7000 lumens per plant is required. So I'll probably buy two of these. It has the proper kelvin(6500 -> blue light -> vegetative growth) and lumens(w/ dual), so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't grow properly. Any experts advice is greatly appreciated. I would hate to waste my money..
Did you mean your own hood? Plan on getting 2 so that's 50 bucks...you would be way happier with your results if you just searched e bay or your local craigslist for a 250 mh. You can veg under those cfls and sure technically flower but for the money you can actually get a better lumen out put if you search around. It depends on your grow set up and climate control issues. Just some thoughts
