I guess it's a matter of perspective, really. Some think it was the most productive Congress ever, passing more laws since the 1960's...But is that what makes a successful Government? Passing laws? Because liberals/socialists see life as a battle between capitalists and the workers. According to liberals, the only option the workers have is to use the state for protective legislation. Too bad they don't read history and are incapable of interpreting the unintended consequences of these policies.
Productive....? I love how they're praised for doing nothing but spending a metric assload of OUR money, legislating against the will of the people, passing laws with thousands of pages they don't think they need to read, and helping to create a bitter partisan divide in the country. And yet they're productive...?
