  1. hi everyone!

We decided to try an outdoor grow this summer. Everything was going great and the plant was huge! ..until about a week ago. We went to go check on the plant and it looked like it was super thirsty.. all of the leaves were dropping horribly and starting to turn yellow. I thought it was strange though bc I noticed part of the “tree” was perky and alive. We watered and gave nutrients for the first time. We have it a 5gal bucket of water with the corresponding amount of advanced nutrients. (Quite a bit). Well a few days afterwards we went back to check on it and it was completely dead. EXCEPT for the one part of the tree that was perky before.. is still perky and doing well. We thought it completely died from a severe nutrient burn.. but wouldn’t that affect the whole plant? What would cause half of the plant to die and half to live? Any ideas?

  4. Branch snap somewhere below?

Happened to a buddy of mine, and he didn't even notice because it was propped up with bamboo poles.

Looking closely one of the main stems down low was broken at the main.

  5. Either eat damage to stock or most likely gopher

  6. It’s like caddy shack up in this bitch

  7. I had something similar once, the bark was stripped from the stock by something, girdling it.

  8. Aww man. That's actually painful to look at. I feel your pain though bro. Lost a pound of amnezia Haze a few months back after knocking a light timer.
Might still be able to make hash from it though.

  9. You had a good thing there. Fucking varmints! Next time you must cage your plant. I made a basket out of chicken wire and then extend it up like a collar approximately two feet above ground. Upon transfer the root ball goes in the basket and plant as usual. Extending the collar upwards two feet is important because basket 1.0 didn't do this and as if out of spite those fuckers popped out of their holes (I watched it happen) and chop down my plant at the stalk.

You must save the plant that is still alive. You need gopher traps at this point. Do not use poison.

Furthermore, I have to protect against deer (this is a whole 'nother conversation), wood rats (I use baited electric traps), and ground squirrels (gun). I also have a couple of owl boxes that I build on the property, which helps.
