A ton of you know that little 65w flood set with ballast that lights of America has but I was at home depot and saw this 100w replacement bulb and I was wondering if I could just buy the bulb and just hook it into a plain old socket? Would that work ok or what? Lights of America 100W CFL Replacement Bulb (92100B)
It looks like it should work. I think once you get to the higher wattages like 200w or 300w is when you can't plug them into normal sockets.
