Would this be a good idea?

  1. I'm not entirely sure how any of the laws are going to play out in CO and I will certainly not ever go into this venture but I was thinking of a good way to capitalize on the new legalization. Obviously there is going to be a lot of competition in this new field, but I've thought of a few good ways to stand out from the hundreds of Cannabis shops that are planning on opening.

Alone just a Marijuana shop isn't going to turn heads, as I'm sure there will be a lot of them. So why not offer things that compliment marijuana?

A few things I had in mind along with selling cannabis for personal usage and all other headshop items are:

    - Have an area to relax with friends and to go and smoke at, lots of couches, nice music, maybe the occasional DJ, TV's, Hookah, cool lighting and other aesthetic things

    - Renting nice glass/vapes out for use in store along with bud. I know a lot of people would wish to have $600 bongs or volcanoes but can't afford it, so you would head to the store and and pay a few dollars to use their glass

    - Having some sort of food menu, nothing serious that requires a large kitchen, maybe baked goods/ smoothies/ and some simple microwavable things

-Obviously, at a risk of discrimination, I think hiring attractive females would be a decent addition to the atmosphere

The point would be to offer both goods (cannabis, edibles, glass) and services (being served weed/food from menus, being attended to in the lounge). What do you guys think?

  2. Of course. I'm sure that'll happen

  3. A bar for weed that serves food with rentable pieces. I've always wanted to do something like that, the higher people get the more food they will eat.

  4. its a good idea but its not a new one i see a thread with pretty much the same idea at lest once a day on this site

  5. There probably just going to allow weed smoking in bars and restaurants anyways, idk the smoking laws though.

  6. I grew up in CO and can guarantee that you won't be able to smoke in restaurants. We've got bans on smoking tobacco indoors at most establishments, some bars are excluded but most aren't. You need to get some sort of special licensing to allow smoking in your place of business and I'm sure the same will be true for weed.

Anyways, exactly, the higher they get the more things they would buy in general. Seems pretty foolproof to me.

  7. I wasn't sure about the laws there but you can still just smoke outside bars and restaurants.

  8. In live in central FL and there's a headshop that also has a hookah bar and porn section.
I can only imagine how amazing they would be if weed was legal.

  9. Don't do a cheap wing night there you'll go broke haha. Not a bad idea. Maybe start a questionnaire for friends to take and give their friends and see what they'd enjoy inside and go by a majority rule consensus. You could do it via Facebook for more timely responses and minus the cost and time of printing, distributing and collecting them.

    Just an idea, good luck.

I'm pretty sure if a certain percentage of your sales is smoking shit you can smoke inside.
