Decriminilized means the punishment is not as harsh as in other states within the country.

For example, I live in Ohio, and possession of less than 100 grams of marijauna is only a minor misdemeanor.

100 grams is a lot.

Nah, acording to norml its decriminalized, ever since i first checked like 2 years ago. I've never had a run in with the cops for weed, but acording to the website its like not even a misdemeanor to have less than 25 grams, like equal to a parking ticket or something.

 

people seem to get confused with the term "decriminalized" until they here a real defenition of it. its pretty simple.

its still not legal, but its not a criminal offense, just like a parking ticket isnt a criminal offense. that means its just a fine (under a certain amount of weed, varying per place) and doesnt go on any criminal record.

 

damn and im going to panama soon, and its illegal... bummer.

You know what, now that you say that I realize you're right. Because if you get caught with less than an Oz of pot here you only get a citation, it isn't even a misdemeanor.
