People are saying the melody from that beat actually came from an old RPG game called Chrono Trigger. Is that where your boys got the melody for the beat, or did wiz get it from the game? Not tryin to doubt you or nothin just sayin
Most definitely from Chrono Trigger and it's a pretty sick beat. Wiz has always been a punk bitch and he can't rap for shit. What happened to the days when MCs dropped science instead of 1rst grade english class bullshit rhymes?
the melody is from chrono trigger, just like the one from Never Been part 1... the producer of the beat, sledgren, specializes in making beats and is a video game fan.. also, the bassline in the wiz song is completely different. but none of this really even matters because it's a MIXTAPE and he's not (technically) profiting from it.
people use the same sample all the time shit just happens.....maybe your boy should flip shit better than people wont be able to recreate it so easily.
I live in SC and i never heard of em, but they straight. I kinda doubt Wiz had ever heard of em probably just the same sample. And even if they did get the idea from that beat, the producer of it did it not Wiz.
its a mixtape, you cant use any beats and You dont need permission. He sampled it a tad bit but its not even the same beat anyhow. Had he been making money off of the mixtape then there would be a problem. Also your buddies' version is nice!
