If i use a CFL 125w dual spec bulb inside two plastic containers turned into grow box will it burn? i will be layering the inside with white spray paint and adding an intake and exhaust fan from computer fan with old phone charger. Will the CFL produce enough heat? Will the plastic be able to take the heat? Will cheap computer fans set on fire if i use a mobile phone charger to wire them?
The CFL will produce heat, but not enough to start a fire, however you will need proper ventilation or it will get pretty hot in there. People use plastic containers all the time for micro grows, rubbermaids are popular. No, a computer fan will not set on fire if you have it wired properly. Make sure your cell phone charger puts out the amount of volts the pc fan requires.
this is more of a question of are your wiring abilities a fire hazard.... as long you arent over drawing any of your equipment you will do fine. cover all electrical connections with a wire nut and then electrical tape on top of that... or solder and heat shrink.
