will this grow room setup work?

  1. So me and 2 other dudes are getting an apartment and are going to grow for a living.
me and my friends have done small concealed grows with 2 plants max and using CFL's, but this is going to be bigger so I'm not sure if this will work or not, from the videos I've seen and stuff I've read here this sounds right.

We are going to do a perpetual harvest harvesting 5 plants each week (to start, it may go up) We're using a walk-in closet that's HUGE it could fit at least triple the ammount we are trying to grow.
One side will be flowering one veging. I figured one month veg one month flower.
we are using a 1000 watt metal-halide for veg and 400 watt hps for flowering, is this too much? too little? the the metal halide will grow 20 plants and one mother but we are wanting to eventually get at least 2 other strains going. the hps will grow 20 plants.
We are using mylar to line the walls, what do you guys recommend to cover the floor?
We are going to be getting 2 humidifiers and 2 oscillating fans.
I have foxfarm light warrior and ocean forest soil, as well as the 3 nutes that everyone has tiger bloom, grow big, etc...

    I have some questions...

    1. Is a 1000 watt MH bulb and 400 watt HPS bulb good for 20 plants each? how many will each be able to grow?
    2. What should we use to split the closet? Will a black tarp with white ones on each side of it work? I figure the black will kill the light from the veg room and a white tarp on each side will keep it reflective.

  2. so ur gonna veg with a 1000 mh nd flower with 400 hps hmm different

  3. 400W HPS is not enough for 20 plants to flower sry......

  4. should they be the same wattage?
I've just been seeing alot of videos of grows with 400 watt hps bulbs, but they majority either don't say how many watts thier halide is or they use CFL's.

SO should they both be 1000, or what will work for 20 plants?

  5. I suggest you all get jobs too. Work somewhere fun for a little money and never buy a super nice car if you get a lot of money from this. That's asking to be investigated.

The general rule of thumb is approximately 100w per plant/50w per square foot. For 20 plants, I would consider getting a light mover if you aren't in the market for another light. If you don't get a light mover and you must have 20 plants, I'd recommend going SoG for best results.

Oh, and to answer your question, a 400w hps flowering 20 plants will only provide light to about 1/4 of the grow.
