Why does this not get told?

  1. "There's more cannabinoid receptors in the brain than there are for all of the neurotransmitters put together. That being true, and it is, why would one ignore this system? Why isn’t this being taught? Our public needs to know about this" Ethan Russo MD. Dr. Ethan Russo on CBD & Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency

  2. Because it competes with wealthy interests in the paper, textile, pharmaceutical, petro-chemical, alcohol and tobacco industries. It really is just that simple. It's all about money - not what is right, good or valuable.

  3. main reason endocannabinoid system Not taught in medical School
and that math= it's predicted that 15 thousand cannabinoid signals occue each second per neuronal cell. almost one million a minute. each ligand gated signal messages 7 times ( 7 trans membrane ) to the interior then creates more signalling via retrograde transmissions
all of the active cannabinoids present in cannabis will express on cannabinoid receptors that crystallize into enzymes metabolically down regulating / adjusting the functioning of the cell

  4. And furthermore, most people eating an "average American diet" have a damaged endocannabinoid system! Our food is very low in Omega 3, and you need Omega 3 to properly make the CB1 receptors that THC activates! Without Omega 3, the receptors are left "uncoupled" from their effector proteins. (Think of it like a radio with an unconnected wire.)

This was first noted in 2011- I want you guys to read this one, and think about what it says!

Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions

“The corollaries of the obesity epidemic that plagues developed societies are malnutrition and resulting biochemical imbalances. Low levels of essential n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFAs) have been linked to neuropsychiatric diseases, but the underlying synaptic alterations are mostly unknown. We found that lifelong n-3 PUFAs dietary insufficiency specifically ablates long-term synaptic depression mediated by endocannabinoids in the prelimbic prefrontal cortex and accumbens. In n-3-deficient mice, presynaptic cannabinoid CB(1) receptors (CB(1)Rs) normally responding to endocannabinoids were uncoupled from their effector G(i/o) proteins. Finally, the dietary-induced reduction of CB(1)R functions in mood-controlling structures was associated with impaired emotional behavior. These findings identify a plausible synaptic substrate for the behavioral alterations caused by the n-3 PUFAs deficiency that is often observed in western diets.”

FYI- n-3 = Omega 3. I find the last two sentences to be very interesting. Could our lack of Omega 3 be part of all the craziness we see every day? This study and others seem to suggest that it might!.

Also, getting high is a "neuronal function". :GettingStoned: Uncoupled CB1s can't get you high, but they can be replaced! You need to take Omega 3 for a month or more to replace enough dud receptors to begin improving your high and your health.
