Why does my bong hate me this particular week? Is it just bad luck or what?

So it all started a about a month or maybe two ago, i was at a friends house and he had this beautiful bong. (http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n591/crash20211/DirtyOZNE.jpg) He mentioned while i was around that he was trying to sell it, and one thing i have a lot of that everyone wants is weed. so i offered him an eighth of dank and told him I'd be back in an hour to pick it up.. he gladly, and quickly took the deal and the next day with a quick wash i had a super nice bong that i called Dr.0Zone.

Now back to the point, time passes, (I smoke very frequently throughout the day) and i get tired of constantly cleaning my bong all the time because I'm personally the type of smoker that likes to taste my weed and not res and ash and w.e. so i decide to buy an ash catcher from one of the local head shops that recently opened in town,.

i switch my bong to glass on glass setup and this is what i come out with..

I spend $70 on this great ash catcher with 11 perks in it and it breaks 3 days later by randomly falling off my table when i was in the room by myself a few feet away.. beat..
so i buty a new one 2 hours later.

looks very similar but this one is $20 dollars cheaper and has 6 perks instead of 11.. No big deal.
2 days later i'm smoking with a friend in the back yard outside of the garage and my friend pulls the slide to clear the pipe.. then the ash catcher mysteriously jumps out of the bong BY ITSELF as i watched it hit the dirt ground and yet again.. We have another beautiful; fairly pricey piece randomly broken with little explication..
So after my friend attempted to go down to the shop and buy another to replace the that was broken, and failed by getting one the wrong size.. I went back and this is what i ended up with..

I think that its the best looking, out of all of them personally and it also works the best as well. I'm crossing my fingers on this one that nothing mysteriously or randomly happens to it right in my sight that i can't explain, because I'm not crazy, I'm defiantly not seeing things.. and I'm tired of spending my hard earned money on god damn ash catchers. I don't know if anyone has any similar stories or things like this that has happened to them. Maybe its bad luck, i just cant explain it.

Bad things happen in life, I've learned that.. I'm not going to cry about it.. Buto be honest, I'm just happy that they say the third time is the charm.. Hopefully this goes well.

Absolutely, all i had to do was pay the $10 difference and they were happy to exchange which i was so happy about after hearing they had a "no return" policy.
