So what if he was a corrections officer? LOL if you think your favorite rappers are "from the hood". Here's a little tip: not all rappers need to come from the gutter like Pac and Biggie did. He was successful as a correctional officer and now he's even more successful as a rapper. He never raps about coming from the streets, he raps about having a shit ton of money and drugs. His flow is appealing too, especially when baked. Rapping isn't about going 100 WPM. Fake it till you make it, who gives a shit, as long as it sounds good. Rap is freedom of speech. Rep. Hes dope ONE OF MY BADDEST WOMAN EVER I CALL HER RHIANNA, THAT BECAUSE HE NAME IS RHIANNA LOL DRAKE NICE
So what if he was a corrections officer? He built his whole career on the image of a drug dealer, but yet he was at jail watching *****s behind bars. He prolly raps about things he heard the inmates say. I use to bump Ross when he first came out, im not gonna lie that BMF song goes hard as fuck.
People are stupid man, do you really think you cant be a drug dealer because you were a Correctional officer? Use your brain. Drugs get sold in jail aswell. Even if hes lying...he paints a good picture of a drug dealers life. I mean dont ppl like scarface? I mean i guess if hes your hero you might be upset. Or you just on that fuck da po-lice tip.
Im not saying he couldnt have been a dealer, I know theres a lot of crooked cops out there. I dont respect a person who had a career keeping criminals locked up but at the same time he was sopposidly a bigtime dealer. People who actually move weight and do dirt don't talk about it, and they certainly dont go on tracks with DJ Khalid and scream retarded shit.
I barely see any ross hate, when i do it's not cause he was a corrections officer but because his lyrics aren't appealing, his image isn't what i like to see, it's all your opinion though. If you liked him, then heard about being a correctional officer and then started hating him, you're a moron, like i said i just don't enjoy his lyrics, image, beats, themes, (lack of) messages.
right now he's one of the most popular rappers out ROZAY [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZqJdKXbULs]YouTube - Rick Ross - Devil In A New Dress (Official Video) trillestvideoupper[/ame]
You dont respect someone whos playing the game. Locking out competition ? Drug dealers sell drugs to make money. so if dj khalid is making alot of money and they have a chance to make it with him they will.
I like his flow and his beats. He has some nice music.. Other than the beef with 50..that's why he has haters?! As an artist..i find him decent.
i was going to ignore, but then you said "fake it till you make it" gtfo and he needs to find a fuckin boat tarp to coverup his fatass
cuz he sucks. he stole another mans name, look (plus 300 lbs) and story and he was a cop..im sure hell say he was being investigated by Serpico (google it if u have to) or somethin but regardless he was still a CO
well thats how it is right? hahahaha i did like rickys beef with 50..not from music sense all his songs sucked lol but him talkin shit and who could forget 50s pimpin curly
i dont know how you can deny the quality of some of his songs dude gets some of best fuckin beats and features too plus he's consistent all his albums been pretty good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTtVMknMnUQ[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09hTeyegnQE[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZocrHzjjwVU&feature=related[/ame]
Newsflash: Not all rappers are really hard motherunicorners, it's all about their image. Newsflash 2: Half the kiddies hating on him because of his old career (where he probably made more paper than you [or me for that matter], if I may add), aren't exactly hood rats themselves.
He makes good music, but a solid part of music that i love is that its honest. Not neccessarily in its portrayal of the artist, but the artists feelings about a number of subjects. With Ross, it all comes back to the fact that he denied being a corrections officer when there was solid photo evidence. That right there ain't kosher, and then to steal another dudes name who was really in the field is just a slap in the face.
