I know of Jonathan Swift. Great writer! I guess I'll have to google this Cory cat, and figure him out.
I write like Stephen King. I guess all the books I have read of his have quite the influence on me. Oh lol at Stephanie Meyer. You must really suck at writing.
I just wrote "I like to sit on my front stoop, and smoke blunts, and drink 40's. then I blow the smoke in some little girls direction and toss my 40 without lookin. Den I bounce cause I dont need to catch wreck." and apparently I write like "Raymond Chandler" I'm pretty sure he didn't write like a hood rat....
I don't think any famous writer does. Has to compare you to something. I wrote in complete gibberish and he came up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Foster_Wallace
I write like Charles Dickens. How flattering! I'd like to see some of what you guys wrote, I'll post mine if you guys do! edit: Decided I'd post this shit, because hey, why not!? "As I walked down the illuminated corridor of the entrance to the alehouse, I could still see him. A childhood memory. I could do naught to muffle these noises inside of my head, day and night, I could hear his cries. For twenty long years I'd seen him, whenever I'd close my eyes, his image painted on my palpebra, like some vile taste-less mosaic, I would catch a glimpse of his face. It wasn't the once youthful, ignorant stare I had once remembered him fondly by. But a cold fissured look, like he'd been broken. But a single frame, it's all I could remember. This mere frame, a split second in time, has haunted me for decades. Me looking down at my once energetic friend. Surrounded by law officials and paramedics. Me, a mere child, was designated identifying his corpse. On this night, I was to commit a murder myself, the murder of my conscience. I just wanted to annihilate every last brain cell containing his likeness. To drown the sorrow in an unholy display of indulgence. The bottle. " Come on bros!
It says I write like Ernest Hemmingway I wrote some lyrics to an old song I wrote: "I'm tired of walking on eggshells, I'm worn out chasing after you." "You say you're not sure you love me, what am I supposed to do?" " You kiss me like you were my sister, you hug me like I'm just a friend." " If you can't show me some passion, this thing of ours is at it's end" Doesn't sound anything like the Hemmingway I've read
i posted some poetry i wrote: Spend your time behind the wall, Build it up enough to let it fall. Let it fall, all the way down, Bricks forgotten lay all ‘round. Each a memory, smeared with regret, Firmly set, an attempt to forget. Your mind a basin, due to tip, All it took was one little slip. Pushed to the edge, unprotected back, One option left, and that's attack. but i just put that in again, and it gave me another writer??
i submitted something i wrote in the positive vibrations thread.. it says i write like leo tolstoy.. i have no clue who that is lol
