Which Light best for veg cheapest

    Which light should i buy for the veg stage of the plants which are being grown in grow cabinet 1ft 9 x 2ft and 3ft hieght.Looking for the cheapest option

    when i was using my old grow box,i set 8 4ft florescents vertically. 2 on each wall. i hung my ballasts the outside wall of the box for easy access if they needed to be replaced. then i put in 6 cfl's on each wall to supplement. don't for get the top. this setup controlled alot of heat issues. i went to the local re-store to pick up my ballasts. they were only a dollar. $20 for 20 ballasts. score!

    wow 20 for 20... lol. Ours are $20 each here

    check out the re store. they sell stuff from buildings that have been ripped down. its like a constructio recycling store. i was snagging florescent tubes at a dime each

    The re-store is a good option for those with a very limited budget.

    However if you have about $60, you can get a 125W Hydrofarm CFL w/ a hood. I use these and the 200w CFL bulbs.
