Hi Thx for looking! What length should a 'branch' be before it is suitable to cut for cloning purposes! As u can probably tell I'm pretty clueless, and even a rough estimate would have me miles forward!!! Cheers dudes
The length is not the important factor here, a cutting for cloning should be not less than 25% of the thickness of the branch that it is being cut from and should contain at least 2 different nodes (areas of vegetative growth)
it dont matter how long it is just as long as it looks healthy, for clones i use the tops they seen to work fine.
You want to cut your clones from a mother that has not yet entered the flowering stage. Once it has established roots a Clone is at the same exact stage of growth as the plant that it was cut from.
