I believe I am at 1 month of veg time (from seed). What I need to know is how much longer to wait to switch to 12/12. Also I attached a picture of my attempt to trim a plant (One_Month_Trim) to create 2 main branches. Did I do it right? I hope to flower using three 42watt CFL and one 45watt CFL in a closet scrog grow. When should I add the screen?
typically you start to flower when the plant is half the highth of how big you want it to get. I started flowering clones without veging and the result is one plant of buds about 10-12 " tall. hope this helps.
Whenever you want to start flowering is when you start 12/12. this will promt the plant to start producing buds beacause with the shorter light period it sensing winter is coming. You can keep a plant for about 2 years i think in veg if you want to keep a mother plant and get clones. But keep in mind if size is an issue, after you switch to flower, the plant should almost double in size. almost...you can reduce this by training it however...
