when drying the bud, do the smaller ones dry out faster, meaning i have to pluck em and put em in a jar faster than the bigger ones. even if its on the same stem??
I chop the whole plant and hang it up for 5 to 7 days. After it is dried I trim it and cure in Ziplock bags. I used to use Mason jars, but 72 ounces in jars takes up a lot of space.

No they will not overly dry out. You could hang them inside a large carboard box(bottom open) to help make the humidity more constant throughout the buds.
