  1. Just do what I do and dont watch the news or read the newspaper I hardly watch TV at all anymore I just dont see the point in worrying yourself about what you read or what your told by the TV, cuzz at the end of the day your life remains the same. Let others worry and stress over all that bullshit that doesn't really affect you in anyway unless you let it.

  2. It just seems like everything is going to SHIT. If this keeps up imma have to pick up my shit and get the fuck out. Canada seems nice, even started pickin up some French.

  3. War,fire,burning shit,death,guns,army, IMO

  5. I'm waiting for this end you people speak of...So far I've been disappointed about 100 times, I wait for the anarchy.

  6. Im glad to be a Canadian right now

  7. Sorry to tell ya but Canada has absolutly no economy without the United States. We play big brother to you and if the United States falls, Canada is one of the first to follow

  8. Last night i got really stoned for the sole purpose of brainstorming possible solutions to saving the United States economy.

    The solution is tariffs.

The United States is becoming much to dependent on foreign products and the fact that places in Asia can produce these products cheaper than we can here (due to cheaper labor, less restrictions etc) is hurting business here at home. We should place HUGE tariffs on foreign goods such as cars, toys, and electronics. We could eliminate out of country competetion and allow more entrepreneurs in our own country be successful since they dont have to compete with outside companies.

In the USA we believe in a free market. Well i think we can still have that but it would be a free market that is contained within our borders. America imports a TON more than it exports. So i believe this could work.

I was high when thinking about this so i am sure there are some problems.

Really would like to hear some feedback from all of you!

Canada has a different currency with ties to the Euro and other more stable currencies than the USD. They would feel it, but we aren't going to take them down with us. Canadians are smarter than that. We also don't play big brother to them. That's Britain's role and we're more like the delinquent step sister.

  10. At the moment, Canada is doing a lot better than the US in its economics.Sad but true, but yes without the US, many socialist like countries would have to end their programs like health care due to the fact that they would have to spend it on defenses.
Thus, Big Brother protects his lil bro.

I see language in this post that suggests a point is being made, but the stuff in between that tells you what the point us doesn't make an ounce of sense, really.

Also, it's not sad Canada is doing better than the US. It's sad the US sucks so epically at economics.

  12. The US sucks at economics because it is spreading itself too thin across the whole world. Instead, we should just spread ourselves thick here in our own country.

STOP HELPING OTHER COUNTRIES WHO ARE NOT GRATEFUL

Actually I believe it's due to our system of relying on credit and how each of our citizens is practically required to take on thousands of dollars in debt. It isn't a perpetual system like the banks like to make it look. Expenditures like the wars definitely don't help the situation, but it isn't the root of out economic ruin.

  14. Tariffs aren't the answer lol, ever study the Great Depression in high school ...

  15. I studied basic economics in freshman year of college so I know a little bit of what Im talking about. In my Opinion heres how we can fix things somewhat quick...

    1. Lower Capital Gains Tax -Companies are leaving America because they can't make a comparable profit like they can somewhere else. We need to lower the Capital gains tax so that new businesses will build in America instead of somewhere else. There is also hope that it will attract business to come back to America too. This would help create more jobs, thus helping the economy.

    2. Eliminate Income Tax, Replace With Higher Sales Tax -This will be easy for you guys to understand since we all smoke pot ;)...do you realize how much illegal money goes untaxed in America because it isn't declared? All the mob money, drug money, black markets, cash only businesses, the list can go on. If you eliminate Income tax and raise sales tax to say 40-50% I'd guess Im not expert, they'd be taxing the BILLIONS of dollars in those industries combined that they currently can't tax.

-This would also have another effect! People who are employed would have more money with each check since there is no income tax, this would give them money to pay back their debts, which would give liquidity to the financial industry and hopefully revive the real estate industry, two HUGE parts of our economy.

  16. Thankyou for giving us the Sheeple response, now everything is fine, go watch tv.

It's going to hell, lol, idrk but things are getting worse and the only thing we can do is prepare.

This economy hasn't affected me at all, in fact now is the best time of all to invest in new stock.

Unless your an idiot and know nothing of economics; it will always rebound. The market can never crash again as bad as The Great Depression due to the new market failsafes in place.

And this is not an american issue. It is a WORLD issue. The markets now a days are structed completly differently than back in the day. Companies are now global, so this recession won't just hurt us.

Either way, after the markets get low enough, people will start buying again, and the markets will rebound. Thus is the basic prinicples of market economics. I'm not worried one bit, and if you panic and sell now you are one of many sheep following the heard to your own destruction.

Me and my dad have a ton of money invested in stock and bonds, and he wasn't concerned one bit. He was actually optimistic, and said now is a great time to pick up more. Needless to say a majority of Americans are idiots.

  18. Well, Congress has a 14% approval rating, so...uh...we've had better days...

  19. I am proud to say that in the last 4 years I could have voted I havent. Why u ask, well cuz from the age of 16 when I started blazing I started to realize how fucked up and corrupted the US government is. U cant run a country on hypocrisy and fucked up morals without it going down the shitter. My 2¢

  20. My favorite part about the past several years of economic turmoil is going to the mall and watching people walk out with six bags of retail therapy. If the end is near, most people don't seem to care. We need a shock to the system, for real. Too many problems to list them all.
