hi this is is my first grow and im trying to be all organic. and im wondering whats the best bag soil to buy and what else would i need? id really appriciate a little step by step through. im pretty lost. im going to be vegging them under cfls for a month or two before they go outside.
Here is a place that sells high end soil. Keep It Simple Compost Tea Brewers and Composts But, usually the posters here build soil that they source from a wide diverse amount of things. Some you might find unusual, like dandelions, and other weeds. You can start by reading the soil building threads to get an idea. We can go cheap but effective, or top notch or anything in between. It's mostly how much you want to put into it. If sweat bothers you, you may want to run away from organics, lol. The simple way would be to get some peat like pro mix, some dry nutrients, a bag of EWC, some perlite. You can do this inexpensively but still beat the sox off most store bought popular soil mixes that also sell their brand of nutrients. Convenient how that works out all from the same company, eh? Use their products and you need their nutrient line to fix their deficiency, lol. Anyway do a little reading figure out roughly how you want to grow, then ask away........MIW
