Hey G.C. Got my new room finally done and gettin ready to get some new lights just wondering which setup will generate the most heat? 3 600w or 2 1000w. Id also appreciate Amy views on using 600s vs.1000s thanks guys
It will probably be pretty close. 1800W vs 2000W but 3 ballasts vs 2 ballasts (that might be where extra heat comes from) In reality the heat generation difference between either option probably won't be significant to effect your decision. There have to be other factors to help you make up your mind, hood placement, light movers, total wattage concerns, multiple strains, etc. If you have a long thin room I would say 3 is better if its closer to being square 2x 1000 would make more sense to me. What do you think is going to work best assuming heat generation is the same? Whatever your answer to that question I would go with that.
