What would you do with this space?

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Drews, Feb 22, 2023.

  1. Hi all,

I've not long finished a 5x5 Grow (first time grow) with living soil. Went pretty well all considering.. I neglected a lot of things and had to go away multiple times for work.

I'm back into a stable routine with work and my house has just finished being built. I've left one of the rooms empty in the house for growing purposes (not a large room) Measurements are 3Mx3.5M (9.8 ft x 11.4ft)

I live in a legal country for growing so just looking to set this up the best I can.

My question is what would you do with this space?

(I have another small room which ill be using for Cloning/seeds/starting to veg)

  2. 2 lights, leaves plenty of space to work. Or split it up and have veg and flower areas.

  3. If you have another space to clone and veg, us the space for flower only. Depending on your needs.

Have a walk path and work room down the center. Keep each side 4 weeks apart in flower. And have clones ready to go in to flower every 4 weeks.

    Harvest every 4-5 weeks

  6. I'd say two lights, one wall fan, 6 plants with a small buffer for 2 more to rotate in based on flowering time variances.

  7. I vote for planting flowers.

  8. 3Mx3.5M...Autoflowers or Photos? ..if Autos then use the whole room,
Photos go 30% veg and 70% flower rooms
nice to have a built in extract fan, and centered drain, along with water in, and multiple electrical points, in ceiling too
I just updated to Migrows this would suit that

    good luck

IMO it kinda depends mostly on what you want & want to do. Not on the metric system here so bear with me so app 10' x 10' & how many adult plants at 1 time? I'd devote 5'x5' for flowering & go 4 plants with 1 good light (don't ask me) with a remote so if I wanna go in there to trim I can dim the light & not blind myself. 1 area for seedlings/clones, & another area for mother plants,(at least 2). Fans & ventilation, a/c, heat, dehum/humid ifiers, Co2, wall coverings, WATER etc alot to do BEFORE bringing in the plants. it will be much harder to do later. send pics. :passing-joint:

  10. How high is your ceiling? I have a similar size space that’s 110”x 79” with some extra space. I would suggest 2 lights as well, with the extra space you can add some smaller tents for Veg or clones. Here’s a pic of my grow space or 1/3 of it. Definitely go with 2 16” Hurricane fans 1 for below the canopy and 1 on top of the canopy. IMG_7139.JPG I use 2 SpiderFarmer SE7000’s with UVa and Far Red led lights bars spaced every 2 feet from one another. Just for experimenting purposes for plant development. Not pictured is a 4x8 tent and a 2x2x5 tent. I run a large dehumidifier for the space and reuse the water that’s captured. Each plant gets 2-2.5 gallons per feeding everyother day. I run CO2 have a bottle but had 2 XL bags already in use so starting with that, my ppm’s are currently 800, the bags do work for all those skeptics out there.

  11. One of flower rooms I am looking at is
2m x 2.4 and I have been trying to work out the best way for days, it's not just the plants, I need to get in without moving them, the only practical solution was a large lazy Susan 1.8 m wide (large plants in 50ltr pots, I could pull in the center before rotating the plants for the first 4-5 weeks into flower, trainning, support and keeping the canopy level, also its going to help you harvest the crop, I don't draging plants, you could raise the lazy Susan 2ft, so it's a better height, if you have high cellings as you could veg under, dry the crop and its a good storage area.

  12. Bay windows add beautiful natural light to a room, but what do you do with that awkward pop-out? The angled area just inside bay windows is a prime location for placing a small piece of furniture, such as a desk.

  13. I would buy 2 desk high set of draws
Sheet of ply 8x4 or 6x3, cut the board to the right length and width, use a jig saw to cut it to the right shape, iron on edging on the front, screw the top to the draws( take the draws out and screw up into the top) So there no screw holes on the desk top.

  14. Dial the room in with whatever lighting you prefer
Try to utilize nat sunlight and the rooms lights for all plants....hazes in one corner, hash pants in another
Mullen(bi annual tho) pot loves growing w mullen I've found.mullen doesn't crowd out plants
Some sort of south American line that has good potential would be in another corner, gotta be careful tho ...those Colombian lines can get 10ft tall
