What type of light should I use???

u could use compact fluorescent lights they go in house lamps and u could get like a few 40 wat bulbs or somthing

 

whats your budget?

 

you can get a 150 watt HPS for around $70 at lowes or home depot..
that would do the job start to finish with huge results and little affect on the energy bill ..... flourescent lights use less energy initally but seems to me that one always needs more than 1 light ...

 

Kinda off the subject of your basic question, but I would start three plants if I were you. You may start just one and love it and feed it only to find out weeks later that you were loving a dude the whole time. If you plant three, you increase your odds of having at least one female. Good luck!
