What size drill bit should i use for an 18mm hole?

    Hi im trying to make a pipe, and im just curious what size drill bit should i use to drill the hole for an 18mm slide?

    It's going to be pretty tricky to drill a hole for a 18mm slide considering it is a cone like hole... But if you could find a cone like diamond tipped drill bit I would go with a 18mm bit?

    Depending on what your drilling, I would say a step bit would work. Just mark off where 18mm is on it so you don't drill to far.

    I used a 20mm spade diamond drill bit. Once I started getting close to the right diameter, I slowed down the drilling and intermittently tested the slide to see if it would fit. A spade bit will also give the hole a bit of taper, which can help a bit with stability.
