  1. already have 400w hps up n running, now been told to add a CFL if i buy this bulb what else do i need

  2. a b22 socket to fit it...

  3. need for what? probably better asking over in the growers section, and put more detail in your post, i.e what're you tryin to do?

  4. how many plants are you trying to grow?... i dont really see what one cfl is going to do adding it to a 400w hps...besides a little extra light, unless you are growing a few plants then i would get a couple cfls...

you should ask this in the growers section

  5. isnt the hps suppsed to do fine on its own?? why use a cfl???

  6. exactly a 400w hps is beast...just make sure you set everything up to reflect light properly and get rid of the heat.

  7. hi sorry i just signed up yeah my HPS seems fine but people keep telling me a need CFL blue spectrum im a new grower too never done it before sorry for the confusion

  8. whats a BB2 socket???????

  9. i only wanna grow a few like 5 or something i already have the hps so if that not good enough i wasted me money :(

  10. the type of socket that bulb will fit into...its smaller than a standard light bulb socket...you can find higher wattage cfls that dont require special sockets.

depending on how big of a space your gonna grow and how you have it set up its very possible to grow 5 plants with one 400w hps. personally i would add a few cfls around it...it all depends

you will deff get better answers in the growers section, but you're gonna have to explain your setup and planning a little more for them to help you out

im new to growing i really dont have a clue am learning as i go on

So if i buy this CFL bulb what else do i need to run it???? from the photo it looks like i just need a normal table lamp but i really dont know

You should be good with what you have...as for the cfl find one with a normal socket I believe it's an m39? (could be totally wrong and I'm not currently home to reference).

Just make sure it's a higher wattage...they go up to 100-120watt I believe with the regular socket. Just make sure it's daylight 5000-6500K for veg. When flowering you want a 2700K.

  16. hi this is the CFL am thinking of buying just wish it told me what i plug the bulb into is it for a ballast or is it for a normal beside table lamp

That's not a normal socket...it says b22 in the title...

This bulb is great for veg. I know its only 5000K but its full spectrum...it imitates natural light. 100 watt cfl is the equivalent of 500 watt incandescent so it will be putting out a lot of light. They also have a 2700K for flowering.
