Thanks. It seems harder to come up with something new because so many things have been done before. The way music can evolve is experimenting more with how it sounds and merging the different sounds together.
I'm into all kinds. I'm 40, so most of the newer stuff isn't my thing. Grew up on 90s rap rock alternative electronic punk Ska reggae... Do like some future islands, beach house, black keys, tame impala etc Always liked classical guitar piano and orchestra as well.
Yeah I understand completely, happens in a lot of art, so many people are expressing art, so it's harder to stand out. If I turn on the radio, on the 'rap' station, it all sounds the same. I'll listen when they play old school stuff. Honestly can't stand this autotuned mumble rap stuff.
Thanks that's what I meant when I said merging sounds together. Could you also listen to the tiktok link? It has more of a rock feel to it and it's layered together slowly and it's a cool one.
