what are those green bars above peoples name?

    I use to have 1 now i have 2. lots of people have 5 or more. why are some bars a dark green and some a lighter green?

    Reputation. Post quality posts and people will give you more. If you go to your "my account" in the top right, and scroll down, you can see all the rep you got

    The first 5 dark blocks you get per 100 rep points. After the 5th dark green one, the light green ones you get for every 200 points. ;)

    You need light green bars to give positive rep points to other posters

    Your light bars will come naturally if you continue to post and NOT ask for rep.

    asking for rep is frowned upon.
