Contact Travis Chambers or Glenn Grueling for more information: God's Gift Dispensary Clifton, CO (970) 609-4438 The Western Colorado Drug Task Force, is a collaborative effort between the Grand Junction Police Department, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and the DEA. It has been active on the Western Slope for the past 6 months campaigning against medical marijuana. One of the WCDTF's handouts is a classic piece of Reefer Madness propaganda, filled with lies about cannabis and Colorado's medical marijuana law and designed to "strike fear into the hearts" of Colorado citizens about the latest menace to their neighborhood: medical marijuana. A handout highlighting federal forfeiture laws has been distributed to building owners and property managers who may want to rent to medical marijuana dispensaries in Colorado. There have even been other reports that the police are going door-to-door, warning residents about the "Medical Marijuana Menace" and that they are taking down license plate numbers of cars parked near medical cannabis dispensaries in an effort to harass and intimidate patients. Travis Chambers, owner of God's Gift dispensary in Clifton, has seen it all firsthand. He says: "The police are pulling people over who leave dispensaries. They will take away your medicine if you do not have your 'red card', even though this is in violation of the Constitution. They are prosecuting patients and making them plead guilty to crimes they didn't commit. They're denying them jury trials, making court dates drag on, threatening to take away patient's children, getting people evicted by their landlords, and basically doing everything in their power to try to deny patients' access to medical marijuana. The corruption in Mesa County is unbelievable." Travis wants to get the word out that the War on Patients on the Western Slope may soon be happening in a neighborhood near you. "We need to all band together to protect our patients," he said
wow that is sick to know the laws need be to more in stone protecting patients against this. Until then what can they do if you have your card fuck that.
