I took the battery off the charger and put it in my MFLB (even though the light was red, it felt only lukewarm.) I charged it as I normally do, and not too long. As I went to draw I saw flashing inside. I stopped and opened it as there was a smoking ember inside. Puzzled, I emptied it and charged it again. I saw a small flash down near the stem, but inside. I looked inside and it's either toasted or really dirty. Not really sure what to make of this, or if it's safe anymore. Did I do something wrong, or should I ask for a replacement?
Are you holding the battery in for too long? Is your screen clean? Have you tried to dry burn the screen to see if it smokes out?
