We Live In a Fucked Up world

Discussion in 'Real Life Stories' started by catfish swiming, Mar 1, 2011.

  1. I feel really out of touch with this new age, all the technology supermarkets citys concrete i hate all that stuff. how did we lose our way? i wish it was like back in the days. where neighbors were friendly to each other and everybody grew there own food and had Their own livestock. a world where everybody rode around on horses instead of cars and working with nature instead of against it. Now Co2 emissions are through the roof everybody has their face burried into their cellphones and ipods and iphones, face to face contact is disapering. Does anybody remember the movie surrogates? i just want to live in a world where i can smoke my pot and go fishing for my dinner without hassle.

i wish i could live in a village where everybody was friendly to one another everybody grew there own food and pot, money wasnt a worry. where we made our own clothes, tools and smoking devices. no technology no concrete no police and no worrys of the modern day. i feel very unlucky to be born into this age. All i want is a simpler life.

Am i the only one who feels like this

  2. quite the first post but first welcome to the city. If you are new then youll soon realize your not alone in your views. Societies fucked up, moneys fucked up, our species somehow thinking that we are intelligent is fucked up. Shit will soon hit the fan and then we find out if our civillization was meant to be or if there is something out that our soul is seeking.

  3. Thanks. and im not new i used to come on here alot but its been about a year and i forgot my username

  4. ya i had a hunch most newcomers dont post a We live in a fucked up world as there first thread

  5. Societys very fucked up. It's all about technology, material objects and multi factories..sadly
i kind of agree with you i think nature's way is a better, more pure way to live

  6. Theres a country out there somewhere for you...

  7. This life ain't all that bad. You take those simple moments when you can.

But yeah I'm finally starting to feel the same way.

  8. Alright back in the days not everyone was nice to each other. There are just way more people now, so there are way more cunts.

Back in the days if you got shot, you died.
Back in the days strep was deadly.
Back in the days.... shit sucked ass.

The reality you're looking for isn't possible with billions of humans. It's never going to happen... so work with what you've got, and try and be happy... because in 60-70 years its over.

  9. I'm with OP. Not much for this whole, I need money bullshit. It's hard as fuck to find a job. I'd get a job just so i could DO THINGS, instead of being in the house all day.

Soon though. Soon everything will change and I will be most pleased with the shit system possibly being forgotten.

  10. You don't know what you're talking about.

Concrete is awesome. What, you wanna walk around on dirt sidewalks? Fuck that shit.

  11. Yeah, I'm glad I can go to the grocery store for my food instead of having to spend hours hunting.

Times are moving forward and this is how it works. Sooner or later you probably won't have to leave your house for anything.

I don't know about you but I prefer lightbulbs over candles.

  12. It's the 21st century; life goes on.
    We progress.

Are you saying you wouldn't want to progress past horses as main transportation, disease, and having to work the land every day to feed your family?

    get real...

  13. Back in the good ole' days, more people lived in villages and the rural countryside. Today, in 2011, nearly 86-88% of the global population lives in cities. Society, in general, has shifted from small, likeness-based community life to a much larger, individual-based, city life.

Ah, the joys of the Industrial Revolution.

  14. its called progress.

get with it or get left behind.

"back in the good ol days" people also would rape and pillage and die of small pox.

and there was no internet or charlie sheen

our brains just havent adapted yet to living in these conditions. were still used to living in small community groups. emotions are no longer useful to us and are what cause all our problems.

Yeah......environmental problems, such as the overfishing of the oceans, deforestation, desertification, mountain-top mining, air pollution, water pollution, fresh water scarcity, etc. are all emotionally brought upon ourselves.

With greater technological understanding comes greater environmental harm. Soon, people will have to immigrate from their lands, which are slowly turning into desert, or do not have fresh water to survive on, or both, creating an even larger population problem.

Nice idea of progress you have there.

The only reason why you think its progress is because you live in the wonderful USA, the global leader in waste product and electrical power consumption, which means coal burning. Which means air pollution, harmful and irreparable mining procedures. I'm sure if you went anywhere else in the world, people wouldn't be so excited about this "progress" we've made.

People in Mexico City, Instanbul, and other major hubs in the world live in poverty, unemployment and without a future. There is NO progress.

without emotions you wouldnt give a shit about those pussy ass fish

    problem solved.

Its still progess brotha, whether you like it or not. things are ALWAYS GETTING BETTER in this society, people like you just focus on the negatives. Racism? mostly gone. Environmental concerns? every year we make progress in that area. Theres still problems but you cant expect that shit to get fixed over night.

Look what we have to look forward to in the future. Quantum computers...3d printers....holographic TVs.....cleaner vehicles and production methods..global super consciousness...

  18. Emotionless life = Boring life
Have fun with your boring life, sir.

  19. This. You have around 70 years left to live.

So find a way to get in touch. Not with others necessarily, but with life in general.
