ok so heres the problem...im going away for 5 days and i have 3 little 1 inch plants and i have no way of watering them while im gone...i cant give them to anyone and nobody will be able to come in my house is there any way to keep them wet or anything...any info is good thx
You could set up a wick system. For three 1-inch plants get a large cup full of water, put it higher than the plants, and take three strips off of an old t-shirt and put one end in the large cup and one end in each of the pots, the water will wick down. Test it first -- you may need to use thinner strips if it is wicking too much water in. This is not the way to set up an ongoing auto-watering system, but for a few days it should fit the bill.
