my friend and i want to try an outdoor grow (im in pennsylvania) and want to know the best time i should plant the seeds, im completely new to growing
Depending on where you are in Pennsylvania, the AVERAGE last freeze is between May 1 and May 15 http://www.weather.com/maps/activity/garden/usnationalnormallastfreeze_large.html You want to plant after the last freeze. Remember though that these are just averages and an unseasonable freeze can occur after these dates and, if it does, will probably kill the plants. This also depends on what type of freeze it is. If it is a hard freeze surely the plant will die. If it is just a frost, you might be able to cover the plant with a tarp (providing you know of the forecast frost advisory in advance) and save the plant. So, now that I have babbled on about weather (which is a hobby of mine), you probably want to plant after May 15.
