viparspectra 450w led

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Enderling, Jan 7, 2017.

  1. I recently purchased this lamp and was looking for some suggestions. I have a grow tent that is 10 sqft. And I would like to start growing 3 plants to begin with (soil setup). I was wonder if the lamp on its own would be enough or should i supplement it with some cfls? Any advise would be great. Thanks.

  2. I run x2 450w viparspectra on 3 autos in 3 gallon pots. I've had 4 plants going under them in 3 gAllom pots with the idea of them being 18-30" inches and I think the lights could handle that. If you begged for a long time and were using bigger pots I think you could easily handle 2 good size plants, maybe 3

  5. If you have purchased a Viparspectra light then you have purchased a non compliant light with FAKE RoHS certification labels and no actual offical certification ever bwing issued forbthe brand.

The seller will not provide the official certifications and said they will only give them to the government to which they still will not do.

Check your lights for the fake lables and get a refund.
They have spelt RoHS as RoSH compliant. The CE markings are also FAKE.

I have eported the brand to Trading Standards as if this kills you or someone else or even burns down your premises you will be held accountable 100% for using a non compliant electrical appliance and will void any insurance you have fpr your premises.

Take a look at the labels on the back and leave negative feedback and report the seller to eBay or Amazon where you purchased it from.

  6. Post some proof of what your saying. I happened to have some old photos I was going through and when I zoomed in you can clearly see ROHS. Post some sources and facts or its all made up

  7. 2 viparspectra 300s. In my opinion, a great light for veg only, the buds will be fluffy and not solid.... this is 8 plants, 5 weeks from clone.

  8. As you can see from my images they are not official.

Facts, ask the seller for the certificate of compliance.

Open the unit and google the parts on there own, they are also not compliant.

If you would like undesputible evidence take it to your electrical store and ask them. Your label might be spelt correctly however its not an authentic label.

Sellers response is below, if they were legitimate why refuse to provide a copy so i could get my lights back from trading standards.

    Sellers response
We have reflected the problem to our manager. He replied we cannot provide our CE certification and the RoHS certification to our customers considering the security issue, we only provide the certifications to eBay or government.

Such an honest company here is there last response to me.

It's ok, in order to solve out the problem for you,
would you please remove the negative feedback first, then we do full refund to you?

Any further evidence will be updated once the investigation has been completed by Trading Standards however they know its not compliant they want the company to provide the fake certificates so they have further undesputible evidence that the product is not legitimate.

I recieved an instant refund for one light without the need to return it so this should also show you that they are not lagitimate.

  9. And this is all on your word. I won't bite. Anyone can submit complaints. 0/10. Nice try

  10. As stated dont take my word.

Go to your local elecrrical shop to verify what i said.

Eitherway i dont mind if you dont believe me or not. Its your life at risk not mine.

Thanks for your time anyway but your more than welcome to check your local shop for confirmation.

I was only pointing out safety issues but if your happy to keep using it then keep doing so.

I stopped because im happy with the test performed in the electrical shop and there professional advise. I also didnt want to risk my premises or other peoples lives.

  11. I just hope other people value there safety more than you do your self.

  12. I hope other people provide proof, which you provided none. When you say check your local shop wtf do you mean? There isn't a local led grow light shop, maybe anywhere. I have no stake in viparspectra and like the lights. If you submitted something that legitimately showed they were dangerous maybe I would change. But the only fact so far is that you have provided no proof on what you say, zero, none , zip. Are you going to check the labels of galaxy hydro, Mars, and other led manufacturers from China? Next time you make claims that you want other people to believe provide actually evidence not "take it to your shop" because no one will believe you. You've been a good Boy Scout for now and you deserve your public safety badge....

  13. By shop i mean any elecetronics shop.

The shop in question was Maplins Electronics.

I dont have the lights anymore as they were conviscated by the shop untill the certificate was provided. They have now refused to give them back and gave them to trading standards.

I will give you proof in the means of the letter i receive from trading standards either with my court date or the affidavit they will send.

Again you dont want to trust my advise as this is understandable but surely you would not dispute a test anf check performed infront of your eyes in the shop.

Again keep using your light as your enjoying it.

I purchased 2 lights and loved the first one like you.

It was bought to my attention when the second light arrived to instantly start smoking from the driver the instant it was turned on but your more than welcome to disregard my advice because as i said its your safety not mine.

I just hope more people value there safety more because you would not live with your self if your family members were caught in a fire or even your adjacent buildings.

Just to state i did check the certification for Marshydro and there certification can be validated, the only reason i checked was because of the issue with Viparspectra and wantded to make sure my next light was safe.

Anyway i would atleast like to thank you for taking the time to respond to me and read my concerns.

I wont waste anymore of your precious time but do hopw that others think twice about this light and maybe check there existing light with an unbiast 3rd party so they dont just take my word for it as i could believe more people are sceptical about this news.

Any electronics shop can check the light, they will open it and check the parts, the driver and ty

  14. Yeah this smells like bullshit, you've provided zero proof and keep repeating the same shit. My 300 made a loud buzzing noise and went out but never seemed like a fire hazard. There are no led light shops That will "take a look" at my light to verify the parts lol.

  15. OP,
It looks like he told you exactly how to get your proof. Have the light checked. If it's legit, then tell this guy to stuff it. If it's not, then an apology and some gratitude would be in order. See how super easy this is? No need to get worked up. Heck OP, if he's right, he may have helped you prevent some serious damage to your property or loss of life. Wouldn't that be good enough reason for you to look into it little? I would. And again, if it's not true then write him off as a troll, and enjoy your garden!

Hopefully I did not come of as taking sides, just applying logic and common sense to the equation, cheers!

  16. Sorry for those who have doubted me but it realy is your own responsability.

You dont need a LED grow light specialist just an electronics store that knows there compliance.

I wont keep on about it just wanted to raise my concerns and as you can see from the labling on my lights before they were taken shows the false label.

Your more than welcoms to check your self or simply ignore some friendly advise.

Im not trying to sell another companies lights so have no reason to lie but i will leave it to you guys to check for your self or even ask Viparspectra diectly for the certificate.

If the light is certified surely they will not have issues proving you with the certificate of compliance.

If they refuse that surely shows you they are hiding the fact.

  17. Amazon wouldn't allow them to sell the lights without proper certification. Nor eBay. Labels are not fake. You're a dissatisfied customer making up the highest form of BS. Oh well ! ;)

  18. You guys are attacking the guy who is right.
My company (Canadian LP), tried to make a deal with viparspectra, this was for 100+ units.
In my pre licence step/business plan, I was declined because the lighting did not conform. Does not have a CE rating or ROHS. Health Canada tried to reach out to viparspectra for the proper documents, but never got a response back. SMH
We ended up going with CLW solarsystem 550's, and were loving them!!
