Hey guys I came across a pretty nice hydro store while out of town and purchased a 400 watt light system that can change between mh and hps. He threw in the hps with the deal but I'm afraid something may be wrong with it.. I fired it up and it seems to work fine, only thing is that theres a strange rattling from inside ether bulb.. this can't be good right?
No, if I hold it in my hand and lightly shake it without it being screwed in it sound just like a regular light bulb that's burned out
yep. no problem. if they vibrate while on, might cause premature failure id think? also remember to wipe off your bulbs when you bare hand them. iso alcohol and water.
