I am growing out of a long locker until flowering stage. yes, you will still need to vent....in essence the holes will act as your air intake but to disspate heat from the lights (and to keep your grow in the sweet area of the high 70s) and to help with the odor (in conjunction with a carbon scrubber) you will want to hook up a vent system.
