Using both HID and CFL??

  1. Hey guys so i am currently doing a wardrobe grow and have a 250watt metal halide and 3 42watt 2700k soft light CFL bulbs and 3 42watt 6500k daylight CFL bulbs. I am just wondering if you can use both metal halide and cfl together and also if that is sufficient lighting.

  2. Yup more light the better buddy...hope that helps

  3. Dimensions? # of plants? How big do want them?

  4. Thank you genghizkgro :)

Duckfest: my dimensions are 4 feet tall 30" wide 18" deep. I plan on growing one big plant in a 2 gallon pot. I plan on doing lst by wrapping the main stem along the bottom of the pot to promote many big colas instead of just one. Thoughts? :)

  5. That amount of lighting should work well. Make sure there is good ventilation. Make sure you use quality soil. Best of luck to ya!

  6. You want a big plant? Get a bigger pot.

Yes you can run HID and CFL together. More light = bigger yield...to a point. I think 500 watts on one plant is past the point of diminishing returns, you should be fine with just the 250w HID. Maybe use one CFL in each long end of the space to fill out the light.
