well folks surfing the web this morning I came across this article about facebook and the content it collects. 1/2 way in the article I found this and got distrubed thought it would be great to share with u blades. Every company collects data on seemingly insignificant things. Its just how business is done these days. Nobody is fucking spying on you, they are gathering information to make smarter and faster business decisions.

I could give sweet fuck all what facebook does. But there is a reason they're possibly going to get over 100 B in their IPO...seems like a fuck ton of money just to have a "intelligent" advertising platform.
I read an article someone that a store (I think Walmart or Target) can determine if a woman is pregnant, by their purchase history. They use that info for other things as well, but in the case of a pregnant woman they then send out coupons and such for baby-related things. So in the article I read, a 16-year-old girl got sent a bunch of coupons for baby-related things. Her father went to the store to complain. The store apologize and said it must have been a mistake. The following day the store owner called the father to again apologize and to ask if there was anything more they could do... but instead the father said they were right--his daughter was pregnant.
The company i worked for previously would create algorithms to solve problems like that. Detecting pregnancy like that is only scratching the surface. Its really quite an interesting field to be in. We could accurately and reliably predict the future in a way in a variety of industries. Did you know that soap of the same brand is made differently in dofferent countries based on an algorith comprised of cultural, geographical, retail, etc data?
Bout sums it up, doesn't it? I hate facebook, I really do. Someone mentioned how "sheeple" are drawn to it and become like a heard following everything that everybody else does and that thread described it perfectly for me Sorry, cannot recall who made that thread and I am too fricking tired to try to find it
Yeah, I know they gather little details to better market shit. I don't care, I don't buy what they advertise. They can gather their details because I really don't give a fuck.
