Tomorrow i will be transplanting from my 5 gal smart pots to 10 gal plan on vegging another week after that for them to settle into new pots, is there any tips or tricks i should know about when transplanting? Ive heard of people cutting the bottom of the roots or rinsing some of the dirt or should i just go from one pot to the other? Im growing in FFOF amended with Wormcastings Kelp meal tomato tone dolomite lime(for cal mag) and have done a few top dressings with bat guano in the last 56 days.
I try to keep as much of the soil on the roots as possible, and don't disturb the roots if I can. I also like to place my plants in very soft light for a day or so. Keep the same number of hours, just minimal light. Helps transplant shock a lot. os
