tolerance a bad thing?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by -aCe-, Dec 8, 2010.

  1. A few days ago i was reading this research paper on smoking mj and how the cannabinoid recepetors work after long-term use. Generally, it talked about how smoking a lot can cause the receptors to get down-regulated or desensitized. And that's why continuous smoking builds up tolerance and the high becomes less fun.

I find this to be very true but lets say if one's receptors are down-regulated, would smoking a lot like 4-6 bowls be a bad thing? These days after the peek of the high passes, I feel depressed at times and cannot control my anxiety. Does it have to do with my personality or a high tolerance? :D

  2. Smoking pot can cause people to feel depressed and anxious, especially after extended usage. Take a break, man.

In regards to the tolerance, I've heard that it's a bad idea to smoke any more then it takes to get you stoned, not only because it's a waste, but because it leads to desensitizing your cannabinoids faster.
