Even if it does not pass we will try again in two years. And again and again until finally it will be legalized. Sent from my SGH-I897 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Well, I'm not in Florida, but I have been rather busy educating folks in the online news! http://news.yahoo.com/seniors-could-key-medical-marijuana-fla-152918106--politics.html;_ylt=A0SO80l_aFlUPnEAK7pXNyoA;_ylu=oDMTEzZmxzYm5zBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2dxMQR2dGlkA1ZJUDUzMV8x Granny
Some Bs reason man... If only I knew why. The people who voted yes had over 1 million votes than people who voted no it is so much bullshit. The final percentage was 58% so close yet so far
Dude I live in GA and was hoping this was going to pass... I was watching the results of the polls and hoping it climbed to 60% but it never did. This was the push the south was finally waiting for
We have many folks from Florida that have moved to the Denver area for just this reason. I have met many from my other forum here. They are truly a thankful group of people that appreciate their freedoms here more than many natives...
yes, but we have major wins in other states: http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/04/politics/marijuana-2014/index.html plus 57% in favor is pretty damn good... 40 years ago you'd have 1% in favor so yeah 2 steps forward, one step back in this case... but let's see what the next few years will bring. we now have 4 states with recreational mj.
constitutional amendments require 60% to pass, that's the way the Florida constitution was written. Honestly I feel united for care dropped the ball. I was getting hammered everyday via email for donations and I didn't see a single pro commercial. Mr. Morgan may have challenged them in his speech but I feel a new advocacy group needs to take over. One that will provide a support infrastructure for people who want to help out. I debate on starting a group for Florida legalization but I am undecided if I want to spend my time and resources on that or spend it moving to Colorado or Oregon. I don't have the $ like morgan but I sure as hell could have come up with more to get 2 passed. Sent from my SGH-I897 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I agree that Morgan dropped the ball! I'm near enough to the Oregon border that I can get some of their channels. There were several different pro-legalization commercials being shown on KTVL. (Mostly one with a "soccer mom" worried her kids will get busted "Just one little mistake!", and another with an ex-cop from Washington- "It's working in Washington!".) So where were the all commercials for Florida explaining the medical benefits to the seniors? It isn't THAT hard to put something together! (Especially is you have some money!) Heck! An online friend of mine, Skat, even managed to make a little low-budget YouTube "commercial" "Miracle Marijuana - Vote For Your Life" http://youtu.be/y7r0U-DNEDk (Maybe you and Skat should get talking? If you would like to contact him, just PM me your email address, and I'll send it to him.) Granny
58%. That hurts. Seems like not enough of us got off our ass to vote. But no surprises really. Our sorry ass state just has to wait for the rest of the country to carry us along. Thanks Oregon, Alaska, and DC!
