to prune or not to prune

  1. so im talking about the "inner" stuff...the small junk that grows on the lowest parts of branches that is covered by tons of leaves and other branches. i def. trim these off indoors, but outside im not sure. my raised bed is big enough for a huge plant, but is trimming the inner stuff going to help the top get bigger?

    also, when is the "cut off date" that you wouldn't wanna trim due to flowering coming?
     
  2. It'd definately a good idea to clear that out. Promotes air flow. It can also help redirect growth towards the newer growth.
    When flowering starts you'll be tempted to trim the old stuff but you don't really want to unless it's due to pests. Couple weeks into flowering that is
