  1. I have severe menstrual cramps, so bad I can't get out of bed for a few days. I've taken some of my moms percocets and they work amazing. I was wondering if any of you have been prescribed either vicodin or percocets for cramps. Because I don't even know if it's possible to get a script for something like that

  2. its not gonna be easy to get percs...but id say some hydrocodone sounds reasonable. although like you said, they may have some other medicine for your menstrual cramps, i wouldnt know.
whats your prior health record? have you ever been addicted to narcotics before?
id just go in to the doc, dress nicely, tell him the truth and make sure he doesnt get the vibe that your drug seeking. (dont go in asking for specifics)
i would hope you would be able to get something that will treat your pain. at the minimum you should be able to get something stronger than your normal OTC painkillers even if you dont get any opiates.
good luck, an I hope ya feel better

  3. Unless your cramps are absolutely and severely disabling, you probably won't get anything with any real recreational value for them. Smoke weed; it has been demonstrated to ease the pain of menstrual cramps repeatedly.

  4. They really are disabling! It's terrible. I'll be in so much pain that I can't get out of bed for a couple days. The pain is so bad that I vomit.

  5. if they are so severe every time you need to go to a doctor because thats not normal. try eating less salt around your period and dont drink and caffiene if you can help it. good luck girl cramps SUCK :( i usually pop about 10 pamprin within 3 days and i know ive fucked up my liver.

  6. I wish you the best but this is probably right, as long as that's the only issue. I know my Mom used to get prescribed like 800mg Naproxens- essentially prescription strength Aleve. I dunno if it helped here but you'd have to take less pills at least.

Going into the Doctor though establishes that this is a problem, so you're more likely to get real help if you have to go back. In order to stop drug-seeking patients you often have to see a Doctor a couple times, even go to a specialist, before you can get the help you really need- unless your Doctor is especially compassionate or understanding.
