This is REALLY as important as it ever can be.

  1. Is this in reaction to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011? It's been the most significant nuclear incident since Chernobyl, which killed many people that day and months after, left portions of Europe with radioactive land, and killed animals and humans through continued nuclear exposure.

Here's a photo of a wild boar after radiation exposure. Think it has 6 limbs.

Obviously nuclear waste would have some effect on the environment. How much is debatable because nuclear effects is honestly something scientists are still trying to understand themselves. But to say Chernobyl had no effect is a lie.

The fact that the courts are allowing the marines to sue TEPCO for this would be indicative of possible wrongdoing, imo. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Chernobyl plant was also found to be at fault.

  2. Didn't they used to drop huge nuclear bombs in the pacific?

Did those have any effect as well?

  3. No. The US government said they were perfectly safe and nothing bad ever happened.
