The richest one per cent of Americans earn nearly a quarter of the country's income

  1. Makes me wonder the income of all the people defending the rich in this thread. They probably have no idea that they are supporting people that make their lives harder. :D

  2. I guess? You can't tell me how a flat tax compensates for percentage of living expense?

  3. So, since a guy has 2 jets and 5 mansions, he shouldnt have to pay the same percentage!??!

lol. I say he is livin such a good life he should be HAPPY to pay the same, and WILLING to pay more.

The world isnt perfect though. :D

  4. Thank you, people are ridiculous with their thoughts on the rich, especially considering how most of them have never actually met a actual rich person.

They didn't sit on their ass and get a billion dollars, they employed a shit ton of people and created something that has proven to be useful in some sort of way. If you want to have a better life with better things, quit blaming the fucking government and definitely quit blaming the rich.

It's funny, people talk about freedoms and then have no problem taxing the "rich" more than what they're already taxed. I don't understand why people even think of the rich if they're not rich. It isn't up to them to help you out, it isn't up to the government to help you out, it's up to you. If they can become a billionaire why can't you? Oh wait, I forgot, the NWO will kill you first -__-

  5. I agree, but I don't know what the fuck it has to do with what I said.

  6. Yeah.... they employed a bunch of people with wages that have been flat forever.

  7. I must have misunderstood what u where implying.

I thought u where saying that since the rich have a higher cost of living that they shouldnt be held to the same tax rates as everyone else..

  8. He should be willing? IT'S HIS FUCKING MONEY. It doesn't matter what HE has because it's not YOU. I just bought a $300 bong. Keep in mind I could have bought something for $100 and it'd have been just fine. Then spent the other $200 on giving food to kids, and it wouldn't have hurt me financially what so ever. However I worked damn hard for that money, so I'd rather spend the extra 2 for something I like more.

Nobody wants to work hard to give away their money to laziness and / or stupidity. Why the fuck would you want to give even more money to the government if you already don't agree with what they're doing?

Also those 2 jets and 5 mansions employed a LOT of people. The rich know their money, take away more money from them, they'll make sure that their life stays how it is. Make them pay another 250,000 a year, they'll find a way to make up for it. Turn America into some socialist country, the rich will be gone. It isn't some bullshit the rich are after us type of shit, they've worked damn hard and risked a lot doing what they do, why the fuck should they have to pay for someone who isn't willing to do the same?

  9. No I wasn't. I think people should pay for the opportunities this country has awarded them. Also known a "punishing success". I was saying that the flat tax is not really flat, because it is balanced on the backs of the working class to be flat.

  10. Wages that have been flat? Sorry that people can't get themselves to work harder and earn a promotion to get more money.

Once again, it isn't up to the rich to bail us out of shit. The government can't fuck up and expect the rich to pay more. How would you feel if you gave someone 20 grand a month to make sure your house was safe and clean. Yet you got robbed weekly and nothing is clean?

  11. I will give you an ignorance pass on this one because you obviously don't understand what "flat wages" are.

Look at it like this.... So like 40-50 years the Owner of a company made maybe 30 times what the janitor (or any entry level position) made. Now days the owner or CEO make about 300 times what an entry level worker would make. Your wage is flat to my friend. Just because you got a promotion doesn't change the fact.

  12. If the rich WHERE employing all these people that u speak of, our unemployment rate wouldnt be where it is right now.

U act like rich people have it bad in this country. They are living like fucking kings and treating us like their peasants.

The majority of this country works its ass off just to make enough to pay rent and eat. All the while the rich are manipulating the system to make it harder for poor people to make money and easier for the rich to stay rich.

    Fuck them.

The only way u are gonna get a red cent out of their greedy hands is by TAKING it.

I really had a bunch more to add to this, but Im really stoned right now and I am losing my train of thought like every 2 sentences. Sorry. :D

  13. Earning your money is one thing.

But earning your money through human suffering and atrocities is another.

  14. another=American lol

Sorry, I assumed it meant something else.

That still shouldn't matter to the worker. It isn't up to other people to decide what the owner of the company should make, hell they shouldn't even care, especially if he / she created it. As long as the company is around and the employees are getting paid on time then that's it. It's a company, not a country and creating a successful company isn't easy, that's why not everyone is rich. People have the option to create their own company, chase their own dreams, etc, if they don't want to do that and they want to work for a grand or two a week while their boss make 30 grand a week then so be it.

    Example...

My old job, I worked as a web developer at a local firm. The owner didn't know anything about the current web standards, etc...he knows a lil PHP (programming language) and that's it. I know more than him, I can design better then him...hell I was the web part of that company. He charged $110 an hour for my work, I got payed $12 of it. However I also knew that he brought in those clients, that he made sure I got paid.

When I started to not get paid on time and when I started looking around more and finding more opportunities I left, I worked for myself for a few months and made 3 times what I made before, however it was a risk. I had no job, it was all freelance, and it worked. If it didn't work then i'd have been fucked for a place to live, etc.

The rich employ people, they work hard and they're smart. If they didn't do those 3 they wouldn't be in business nor would they be making millions / billions.

People need to stop looking at the rich and start looking at our fucked government.

And what fucking suffering? If you work in a job that makes you "suffer" fucking quit. God damn, we live in a country who's middle class would be rich in a lot of other countries. We have obesity running rampant. Hell what person doesn't have a fucking ipod, or something like it? Hell you're on a computer right now! If you want something, go out and get it. If you don't get it, you don't deserve it.

Actually, it's none of your damn business what anyone's income is. I work for some very wealthy doctors and they pay me well and have made my life and my family's life much easier and very comfortable. You might try educating yourself and making yourself a valuable asset and your life might be easier. Of course, that means you're gonna have to get off your flabby lazy ass and actually do something instead of sitting on your flabby lazy ass complaining on the internet about people who have more than you because they got off their flabby lazy ass and did something with their life.

  17. You got that right. But unfortunately the thing is set up for the rich to run, so they are the government. The concept of a Lobbyist is fucked up. It's kind of like a religion.... Since we have heard the stupid shit so long it sounds like it makes sense. lol Trickle down economics= piss on your face economics.

  18. People getting paid off by the Mafia could say the exact same thing.

  19. America is at the spearhead of this tyranny, but don't forget almost every other nation has their oppressive laws and tyranny.

But hear me, we will bring this entire god damned system down.

  20. Unemployment is 9.2 %

Around 28 million, out of 300 million. It could be a lot worse my friends...
I don't know what the fuck you people would do if you lived in Eastern Europe, in fact maybe you should move there for a few years. It would change the way you think most likely. It is almost disgusting how bad you think things are in the United States, which might I add is no different from any other place in the world. And things are much better than most of the world as well.

"Well I've visited Africa, I know what it's like outside the U.S."
That's most likely the response I'll get from a few.

No the rich should not have to pay more than they are, boo hoo. Cry a fucking river.

I make around 38,000 a year. Pretty average I believe...

I think you should be thankful for what you have, stop getting fucking credit cards and new cars. If you want to survive, learn to live with a little less. Stop increasing taxes, stop federal government expansion, stop bullshit social programs that have no affect that you pay for via taxes.

For fucks sake, the Mafia? Are you a 12 year old kid?
