Looks like he did to me, temporarily at least The original taser video? It's hardly existed for a year, but I did see it roughly a year ago though; it's pretty uncanny how it came up again like this. I've heard of a hobo that keeps popping up and getting attention in Canada, but I would've never guessed it was the same guy from an obscure video I randomly stumbled across. Sounds like a pretty bizarre experience (that you apparently share with a lot of people judging from the comments on the original video now)
