  2. That was part of Robinson's editorial, not a comment of mine.
Let me repeat the most important part of that editorial
"this battle against an imaginary enemy stirs the base. But the whole charade involves Republican officials — many of them educated at the nation’s top schools — betting that their constituents are too dumb to know they’re being lied to. So far, the bet is paying off."

The boldface comment applies to you in spades.

  3. Isnt this exactly what "the covid" is all about. i think so. replace the word "republlican" above with "democrat" and your quoted paragraph would be 100% true in the context of today's epoch era. You are part of "the base" of dems. You certainly do get "stirred up".

Can you not see this in yourself as you have pointed out it appears in others?

  4. 1. Trump negotiated a May 1, 2021 withdrawal date without consulting with the afghan government.
    2. Trump released 5000 taliban fighters that were instrumental in quickly overthrowing the afghan government and making biden's withdrawal more difficult.
    3. Biden moved the inherited May 1 deadline to Aug 31.

If trump had been elected in Nov, how well would a May 1 withdrawal have gone?
We'll never know, but we do have trump's failed vaccine policies to use to judge how competent he would've been.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From Timeline of U.S. Withdrawal from Afghanistan - FactCheck.org
The fact is, President Joe Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, were both eager to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan and end what Biden referred to in his Aug. 16 speech as “America’s longest war.”

The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal.

And the Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership.

Biden delayed the May 1 withdrawal date that he inherited. But ultimately his administration pushed ahead with a plan to withdraw by Aug. 31, despite obvious signs that the Taliban wasn’t complying with the agreement and had a stated goal to create an “Islamic government” in Afghanistan after the U.S. left, even if it meant it had to “continue our war to achieve our goal.”

It is impossible to say what Trump would have done, he was not the president when this withdrawal happened. Nobody can please everybody, but Biden sure displeased a lot of people in the United States, according to various poll answers.
The Taliban now has one billion bucks worth of American arms and military equipment. Biden speaks of, and treats, the Taliban with more respect than he does American citizens.
Biden was Bin Laden's first choice for POTUS in 2010, and instructed his followers not to kill him because if he became president he would, "Lead America into a crisis".
I think that Bin Laden was one of the worst people that has ever lived, but he was right on target, regarding Biden.

  6. Whoever was president was going to have a messy afghan withdrawal.
Trump's leaving 3 months earlier is unlikely to have gotten more of that military hardware out of the country.
This was a mess our country should never have gotten into.

Any president's rating would've gone down after inevitable withdrawal chaos.
The vietnam withdrawal was much worse.

Biden isn't worried about his low poll numbers right now.
    Polls go up and down.

  7. It probably seems that way when your head's a constant bobbing. Btw you spelled poles wrong.

  8. A 38% approval rating is not good, for the man that was supposed to end the Covid Crisis, and bring America back.

If we had not shut down the country, things would have been no worse than they are now, and probably a whole lot better. Unemployment is low, yet people are not filling the jobs. Biden screwed that up with the over-generous unemployment extra funding. It wasn't that long ago when it literally took years to get a job with the Post Office. Now, they're hiring and nobody even wants to work for the federal government anymore.

He is going to cause inflation, which will hurt the poor and middle classes. The rich, or those who know how to invest, will make out like bandits, and I hope to be one of the latter when it happens.

Biden is paving the way for a Democratic disaster in the mid-term elections, and a return of Trump to the White House in 2024.

Interesting to see opinions recently expressed regarding Harris, at the 200-year-old British publication, The Spectator which asserts, "She is, in other words, a disaster."

What is wrong with Kamala Harris?
    10 October 2021

The concerns about Joe Biden’s age and cognitive faculties are well established. And if Biden has to step down, we all know what comes next: his vice-president Kamala Harris will become Commander-in-Chief.

But is Harris all there herself? Some clips from this week of her trying to excite children about science suggest the answer is no.

Yikes. What is going on there? Is Kamala Harris, er, high? Harris was speaking to the children as part of her role as Chair of the National Space Council. She certainly sounds spaced. The full video is even more jarring to watch:

A charitable explanation might be that she is trying too hard to sound enthused about science for the benefit of the kids. But there is something too manic about her performance, a desperation which suggests a deeper problem. Something is not right with the woman who is one heartbeat away from the presidency.

Harris has struggled to carve out a fitting role in the Biden Administration. She was supposed to stop migration to the southern border, but now she skips the relevant meetings. She was made the point-person on vaccinations, now half of America thinks Pfizer’s shots are filled with heavy metals and brain-eating worms. She is, in other words, a disaster. Steerpike recalls that she struggled to crack two per cent in the polls despite desperate press adulation. Americans must be praying that Joe Biden’s health holds up.

  14. The worst of what is going on in DC is the BigLie.
Democracy cannot survive without a peaceful transfer of power from the losing side to the winning side.

One of the two major parties is going off the rails.
Now elected repub officials like this one refuse to debunk the BigLie.

Question: Is a party that refuses to acknowledge their election loss a fascist party?

  15. I disagree with almost every liz cheney policy.
But she is one of the few moral repub elected officials who won't repeat the BigLie.
Here's what she has to say about GOP leaders:
    Liz Cheney
    @Liz_Cheney

    ·Oct 10

"Millions of Americans have been sold a fraud that the election was stolen. Republicans have a duty to tell the American people that this is not true. Perpetuating the Big Lie is an attack on the core of our constitutional republic."

Apparently morality no longer has a place in the GOP, because she has been stripped of power and ostracized from the repub party.

  17. If she had not slept with Willie Brown, and gotten lucrative public service jobs and political support in exchange for her body, she wouldn't be where she is, today. I'd say that's a pretty big reason as to why she is insecure.
